Ambrose Pizza was named after Ambrosio Degrezia, who along with his family moved from Italy to New York in the 1960’s where they opened the first Ambrose Pizza.

In 1972 they moved to Whittier California where they opened Ambrose Pizza Uptown Whittier. Throughout the years they opened one in Laguna, Fullerton and in 1985 Ambrose Pizza La Mirada opened its doors.

In 1987 Alonzo Lepe started working at La Mirada as a cook and by 1997 he purchased Ambrose Pizza La Mirada from the Ambrose family.

After years of hard work and dedication Ambrose Pizza La Mirada is busier than ever and has kept all the old Italian recipes that Ambrosio Degrezia's family brought to America that makes Ambrose such a unique and delicious dining experience.
